Common Myths
MYTH: "I'll suck - never done it before"
FACT: Just like any activity like golf or cooking, we learn about them by EXPERIENCING. Zhi Yoga provides for different levels. No experience necessary, only fun ones are!
MYTH: "I’m athletic and don't need yoga."
FACT: 'We do yoga so I'll be straight,' Shaquille O'Neal said in reference to his ankle. Phil Jackson has been doing it with the Knicks since the 70s, and still includes it in team trainings. Personally I run 15-30+ miles a week. Yoga helps quick recovery and maintains range of motion.
MYTH: "Yoga is only for young, flexible people.
FACT: Yoga maintains an honesty with the body-mind-spirit, which is open to all ages. I think it actually ‘reverses’ the aging process - without surgery! Many are doing things with their bodies unvisited since childhood because of yoga.
