Our bodies are our gardens to which our wills are gardeners.

1) Mental Munchie of The Month: A Thought on Our Thoughts

Yes I can hear your thoughts... kidding.  But chew on this - March is marching in!  There is momentum of productivity - often a necessary modus operandi through the fast-track modern life on phone, fax, email, et twittera.

No stranger to this "Go" mode, I am often go-go-going from one task to another job to a new location.  Food for thought this month: IS IT ACTION OR REACTION?

Zooming on auto-pilot, actions may not be fully conscious. Could we sometimes be REACTING to the environment rather than ACTING on it?

"The ancestor of every action is a thought"

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

To ACT (not react), we must first THINK.  This sounds so simplified but not easy. How often does this happen - set goals (act) > see obstacle > get frustrated (react) > change plans.  What if we add THINK in there?  Things that make you go hhmm....

"As a man thinks, so is he."

~ Proverbs 23:7

The really cool thing about this: We can select our LIVES by selecting our THOUGHTS.

"The thought manifests as the word;

the word as deed,

the deed develops into habit,

and habit becomes character.

Character turns into destiny"

~ Buddha

So let's flex our mental muscles this month by THINKING yourself into the life you want to have.  Yes you are amazing.  Yes you can have your wish list.  Even stamped, sealed, delivered by Mr. President - Yes You Can.

So I got into thinking - what if we actually THINK like the market?  What if we let ourselves go up and down like it?  Will the QUALITY of our life be as volatile?  Naturally YES.

2) YOGI(S) OF THE MONTH

March Yogi(s): Grace Boland & Matt Bader

Why: Grace and Matt don't just enter the studio.  They burst into it with energy!  They are one of the most THOUGHTFUL couples I've ever met.  Life-Sized examples of positive thinking on legs (and holding hands).  I love them very much and hope to share their energy with you.

March 2009

Yoga in Sakrit YUJ means UNITY (in body-mind-spirit).  Yoga is physical, but not just that.  Besides our tangible practice, my sincere hope is also to share:

1) "Mental Yoga" = A Thought on Our Thoughts

2) "Spirit Yoga" = Yogi(s) of The Month Grace Boland and Matt Bader

Matt

My Message: Peace and Love, Peace and Love

Thoughts on Zhi's Classes: Zhi's class always has a great message.   She challenges the class in many ways. but she also offers support.   Her class is like a good day at the beach.  You will leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated in the mind, body and soul.
